The Bar
A long wooden counter, a row of high stools and pendant lamps glowing over the taps. The best seat in the house for the chat.
Ninety years of good pints and better company.

Our story
The Manzor name has been over the door in Clane since 1936. Nine decades on, Seamus Manzor and family run the Village Inn as a local, family business built on high quality and great service.
It’s the kind of local that quietly becomes an institution. Polished wood and warm lamplight. Flowers at the windows. A pint poured with patience and set down with a smile. People come in for one and stay for the company: neighbours, old friends, and visitors who leave as regulars.
We’re proud to be part of village life, too. We sponsor Clane United, we’ve hosted the Clane Festival table quiz, and the golf society honours boards on our walls go back to 1987.
Milestones
The doors open. Jas. Manzor. is established in Clane.
Fifty years. Manzors of Clane marks its half-century.
Guinness 250. Honoured by Guinness in its 250th year for helping create the Arthur Guinness Fund.
Pub Spy’s Top Ten. Named in the Sunday World Pub Spy’s Top Ten of the year.
Top 10 in Ireland. Selected by the Sunday World as one of the Top 10 pubs in Ireland.
Ninety years. Still family run. Still pouring.
Behind the bar
Guinness the way it should be: poured slow, left to settle and topped with care. As the plaque on our wall says, “a well-poured pint of Guinness is worth waiting for.”
Alongside the Guinness you’ll find Murphy’s, craft beer from Rye River Brewing in nearby Celbridge, and a full line of lagers and ciders. There’s wine by the glass or bottle, and Jameson and Paddy behind the bar.
Selection may vary.
Inside
Look for the signs on the way in: one door for the Lounge, another for the Bar & Backroom.

02
Green banquettes, glowing wall lamps and wood-panelled nooks. Made for settling in for the evening.
03
Old timber beams, a red-brick hearth and the big screen. Home for the matches that matter.
The beer garden
Our covered, heated beer garden is built for Irish weather: barrel tables and stools, heaters overhead, and a canopy that keeps the rain where it belongs.
Made for long summer evenings and a breath of air at half-time. After dark it glows, with neon signs on the walls and lamps lit beneath the canopy.
